Victims’ Rights Training

Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center offers monthly free cross-disciplinary victims' rights training throughout Ohio and via live interactive webinars. The webinars are approved for either 1.5 hours or 3.5 hours of CLEs (with 2.5 hours being professional conduct credit) and 1.5 hours or 3.75 hours of CEU for counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists. These trainings focus on new rights under House Bill 343 and Senate Bill 16, which became effective in 2023, and serve to provide the education and tools necessary to help protect victims' rights at each stage of the criminal justice process and provide guidance on when to refer crime victims to Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center to request free legal assistance.
